Sweet flavours in the reception building of Mándok

Our cooperation project with the acronym ’Sweet memories’ had its closing event on 13 November 2019, where the ceremonial opening of the reception building of Mándok took place. 

The aim of the project was to reconstruct and thematically introduce the rich culinary-confectionery culture from the Esterházy Castle (Galanta) to the Forgách Castle (Mándok), which is part of the intangible heritage. They discovered the relics of cultural heritage, then made an exciting display of the collection.

The event was opened by Mr. István Szabó’s speech, who is the president of the Mándok Község Műemlékeinek Megmentéséért Egyesület (Lead Beneficiary). He was followed by Mr. Miklós Dr. Seszták, Government Commissioner, Mr. Tilki Dr. Attila, Member of the Hungarian Parliament and Mr. Zsigmond Perényi, State Secretary in the Ministry for Innovation and Technology. After the building was blessed by the representatives of three churches, traditional music and dance performance of the Sodró band entertained the guests. The event was closed with a reception.
