The project aims to improve the cooperation between healthcare institutions in order to provide access to orthopedic, radiological and after-care services in the cross-border area. The cooperating partners are Poliklinika „Veľké Kapušany n.o." and CSPmed Ltd., with the support of the Erzsébet Hospital in Sátoraljaújhely and the University of Miskolc. They are building both their technical and human capacities to respond adequately to healthcare service problems in their target areas.

The project will provide digital x-ray equipment with PACS and modern patient beds essential for orthopedic post-treatment in Poliklinika „Veľké Kapušany n.o.", and a multi-functional laser device in Sátoraljaújhely, which is used in after treatments for complications and to heal scars, skin lesions and ulcers. Following the purchase of the equipment, in frame of special trainings like professional days, exchange of professional experiences will be implemented in filed of teleradiology, radiology and application of laser technology in medicine.

These developments improve, coordinate and ensure access to care for patients in the East Hungary region and the neighboring Slovak region, especially with regard to the lack of professional solutions in Slovakia (one-day orthopedic, arthroscopic and laser therapy). As a long-term result, the path to patient care will be shortened.
