Closing conference of the InProTool project connected with the press conference

The aim of the closing conference of the “Industrial Property cross-border pre-assessment tool project” (#InProTool) was to introduce the outcomes of the project, especially the Slovak-Hungarian online application focused on pre-assessment of industrial property, which aims to help improve companies' knowledge of their industrial property and thus contribute to its better protection and use.

Industrial property is a strategic tool to increase the company's ability to benefit from new and innovative ideas and their technical potential. In today's knowledge economy, a company's intellectual property protection strategy should be a key factor in its business strategy. Especially, small and medium-sized enterprises do not sufficiently protect their innovations due to a lack of information, or the wrong business strategy. Understanding the value and importance of industrial property enable companies to make full use of the potential arising from it, and thus increase their competitiveness in both domestic and foreign markets.

In the form of a questionnaire, the application guides users through various areas of industrial property rights and provide them with information and valuable advice on how and why to protect their intellectual property. The application also serves as an information base for industrial rights, where users can find information from the basic definitions of individual intellectual property rights to legislative standards and contacts to patent offices.
