Children’s Day and Official Opening of the Danube Panorama Trail

The Danube Panorama Nature Trail was opened 1. June in Gönyű. After cutting the national colored band, visitors could take part at a guided tour in the newly opened Ship exhibition. After the official program started the family event, which was organized by the self-government, with a clown, puppet theater and an interactive concert for children. Bigger children could take part at different programs, f. i., could paint nice pictures with Danube stones.

All the developments of the Danube Panorama Trail, which were realized in the frame of the Interreg V-A Cooperation Program concentrate at the Danube Bank. At the trail interactive boards lead visitors at first on the bird path, than beside the Danube until the leisure place. The walk gives experience for every generations. Some enjoy the panorama sitting on the new banks, others read the interesting stories about Gönyű’s history, and lots of people will listen to the tale, download application or watch films with help of smart phones. Children can play at the toys as well, which are built into the boards. From the view-point visitors can observe the bird’s life. After playing at the thematic playground we will take a fancy to look at the Ship exhibition, which shows memories of local shipmen.
