The first Monitoring Committee meeting of the new Interreg Hungary-Slovakia Programme took place in Budapest on 24 January 2023. 

Ms. Nikoletta Horváth (on behalf of the Deputy State Secretary, Mr. Péter Kiss-Parciu) represented the Managing Authority, operating within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary. While Ms. Lea Malá represented the National Authority, embedded in the Ministry of Investments, Regional Development and Informatization of the Slovak Republic. 

After the greetings and opening speeches the head of the Joint Secretariat presented to members the main topics of the Programme followed by the working plan for the next 9 years. The members approved the schedule of the calls for proposals and Monitoring Committee meetings. 

Mr. Silvester Holop presented the Methodology and criteria for the selection of operations, which describes the complete process of the evaluation of operations and selection decisions. The Committee approved the document with a few minor change proposals. 

The second big topic of the meeting was the discussion and approval of the first, restricted call for proposals and a call for assessors. The non-competitive targeted call, which includes the Small Project Fund umbrella projects and Operations of Strategic Importance, is open at the moment until 24 February 2023. All related operations will run through the whole programming period.

The members also approved the logo of the new Programme. Let’s see how it looks:

Projects
