HEPA Hungarian Export Promotion Agency in Budapest, Partner of the Interreg HUSK EYES project organized an interactive training focusing on global business communication skills on the 28th of February 2019. The training was hold by John Graham from Link Global Business Solutions Ltd. - with more than 20 years of experience working in manufacturing, training and consultancy - currently provides business communication and intercultural skills training and consulting, in such areas as meetings, presentations, negotiations and intercultural skills to start-ups, SMEs and global companies.
After the „elevator pitch” the participants could develop their negotiation techniques, and they got known a method how to build up a successful negotiation strategy. Exercises and game sin pairs and small groups and videos helped to practice. During the third session of the training intercultural skills have been presented through Hofstede’s intercultural model. Participants could better understand the differences between European and Far-East ways of decision making and other dimensions of cultural behaviour.
The participants - representing Hungarian and Slovak SMEs and institutions – were able to practice the tasks in small groups, e.g. how to create a great elevator pitch, how to succeed global negotiations, the art of persuasion and handling cultural differences. Developing communication skills can help SMEs to execute more export related businesses successfully.
21 representatives of companies and nonprofit institutions participated at the training. They emphasized the high level of organization professional expertise of the trainer and interactivity of the training.
