Almásfüzitő and Izsa self-governments have taken a number of steps over the past decade to nurture the settlements’ past. Within the HUSK/0901/1.3.1/0256 project were built the first phases of development ideas. However, the second phase could not be built due to lack of resources, that’s why the municipalities would like to realize their further ideas in this project. Our common objective is to expand our already available possibilites and to attract a wider range of visitors, to achieve further development of the cultural and creative tourism. The project aims to expand the already existing interesting interactive institutions. The project will result in a development of tourist sites suited for information spreading, entertainment and active relaxation, they will adjust to the border region’s historical, cultural and natural assets, to its landscape. Furthermore, a playground for families with children, labyrinth, interactive exhibition space, a building showing the Roman houses with an accessibility for the disabled, an open kitchen and a bus parking lot for the reception of tourists arriving by buses will be provided to the already existing attractions in Almásfüzitő. Craft workshops and guard towers will be built in Iža.
